FILM FFF 2018: « Fiers d’être bleus »

The team for the Blues has already been announced. The 1st kick off will be in less than a month. The supporters of the French Team (fans, parents, children, players, sports men & women and quite simply anyone who is French!) are getting ready to experience moments of intense emotion. 20 years after Blues first won the World Cup, the memory of this victory is still engraved on everyone’s hearts. To support the national fever for this 2018 event, the French Football Federation commissioned WILLIE BEAMEN to produce a PR film.

Continuing on the theme of FFF’s PR campaign, ‘Proud to be the Blues,’ this film was created with just one goal in mind: put our passion for football and our support for the Blues at the heart of the production.

Through intersecting destinies, the different scenes illustrate all the ways we have to prepare for a major football match, from the moment of waking up to the kick off. Our superstitions, rituals, concentration and routines, whether we are a player in the French team, a supporter of the Blues, a football fan or simply a patriot. The music we choice also reflects this: The Marseillaise was reinterpreted (under the direction of Thomas Roussel, the young French conductor) with more than 40 choristers, both adults and children, so that everyone can take ownership of it.

In addition, the film was used as educational tool. In fact, the Minster of National Education was captivated by the use of the Marseillaise and decided to disseminate it in all French schools.
